It’s that feeling of Summer almost over and the children going back to school and we are looking to what’s ahead and making plans. We have a few things (including new shops) that we are really looking forward to sharing with you very soon, but we have to wait until things are finalised, so watch this space!
The Minigolf has been popular over the summer and our peacocks have been strutting their stuff. We have been pleased to welcome lots of old friends able to get out and visit us again at the centre and plenty of new visitors, discovering that we are here! (Do tell others and help us out with reviews if you have enjoyed your visit.)
The introduction of our ‘Blake House Bikers’ bike meets that have been happening on Thursday evenings, fortnightly over the summer have been very popular and despite difficulties, the Sconch Tea Rooms have been doing a brilliant job at keeping our visitors well fed with a special menu each time. Thanks must also go to our organisers for this at Inspiregems and also Sonder Tattoos. There is a facebook group if you want to find out more or keep posted on the latest.
As the evenings draw in and thoughts start turning towards Christmas, do remember to shop local for your gifts and support small businesses like ours. There is plenty of time to commission a one off piece from Douglas Payne Designs or a piece of bespoke jewellery from Inspiregems. And Sew On Fabrics have a beautiful array of fabrics to make your own gifts and festive accessories, including their latest delivery of Christmas designs to start your own exciting craft project. Or if you’re not sure what to go for, why not consider a voucher? Great for those living locally and these are offered at most of our shops.
