Well someone obviously extended Summer this year, which we made good use of here with our first open air theatre shows, hosted by the Sconch Tea Rooms team. Twelfth Night at the end of August was a bit chilly, but a great event put on by the fantastic, award-winning Illyria Theatre, followed a couple of weeks later by Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice. Both shows were amazing with great feedback from everyone who came.
The popular Blake House Biker Nights also continued through the Summer until the end of September with the final event of the season culminating with Armadillo Custom’s annual Piston Cup Awards. There is always such a great atmosphere at these events with great food and plenty of bikes to look at too. Congratulations to the winners!
We have also had a couple of visits again this year from the RSPB, bringing along information with their stand about how we can help our local birds and a special Sunday visit from Barista Boy Coffee Co and The Bagel Queen with their delicious Brick Lane Bagels!
Finally we have news of the next event coming up during Half Term, we are pleased to announce the Pumpkin Hunt around the centre will be back on 28th & 29th October, from 10am-5pm for a Halloween Weekend. Thanks go to The Secret Hippy Pagan Shop for organising this and the shops will be joining in and dressing up too! Each shop is decorating their own pumpkin and you can vote for your favourite, watch out on our social pages for more details nearer the time.
