We are delighted to share news of our two newest shops at the centre! 

The first in and opening last month was the talented artist, Becca Harris with The Paint Barn; selling bespoke items of furniture adorned with beautiful designs. 

Becca started giving old brown furniture a new lease of life, transforming them with her designs as a hobby, but decided to take her business to the next level by opening a workshop here at the centre. 

Eye-catching creations vary from the Mona Lisa adorning a chest of drawers to a vintage drinks cabinet given a new look with designs of colourful fish.

Our second new shop to be opening here very soon is ‘Naturally Unwrapped’, selling plastic-free organic whole foods and household cleaning products.

Amanda Hedges, who formerly worked in housing, says: “We are re-fitting the unit, repurposing wooden furniture and creating shelving for the food dispensers. We will be selling dried foods; pasta, rice, grains, cereal, dried fruits, treats, spices, teas and coffees all from scoop and gravity dispensers. 

“There will also be household and personal items available for those who want to work towards a zero waste lifestyle.  People can bring their own containers; if they can be weighed they can be used, and we will also have containers and compostable paper bags available for sale.

“I became increasingly frustrated by all of the needless excess packaging from my weekly shop. I wanted to take some responsibility and be part of the solution by reducing and reusing and to be able to offer and encourage an alternative way to shop to others. This was when I decided to open my own zero waste shop.”
