We have had a great first week back being open since our shops were once again allowed to open their doors to the public, it has been far too quiet here without you all!
The sun shone for us over the weekend and it was lovely to see so many familiar, smiling faces back at the craft centre again.
The Sconch Tea Rooms now have outdoor seating, so with the warmer weather and recent easing of restrictions, it is lovely to be able to sit outside and catch up with a friend again over lunch. Sconch have a great team and a new chef working his magic in the kitchen to bring an exciting, new menu of delicious freshly cooked food for you to enjoy. The Sconch Farm Shop is now also fully stocked with fresh, local produce and of course the yarn shop is open once more in its new home!
Most of our other shops are now open once again too, including And Sew On Fabrics and the Sale Room opposite for all your sewing and haberdashery crafting needs (check out their new quilting collaboration project too), Tudor Rose Antiques and Collectables, with lots of fresh stock and don’t forget all their lovely plants outside for your garden too.
Douglas Payne Designs is busy in his workshop making his beautiful Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs. Bijou Dolls Houses are back with a fully stocked Aladdin’s cave of exquisite miniatures and dolls houses. Instep Dancewear have also been busy making some updates and now have a lovely big mirror in store for those trying on their new shoes and dancewear. Inspiregems have lots to inspire your new spring and summer wardrobe, or why not commission a one-off piece of jewellery as a special gift.
Doer Cycles has been open throughout the last year in the workshop, providing an essential bike repair service as well as having the shop section for all your cycling supplies. Perfect Tips are pleased to be open once more for hair, nails and beauty and if your perfect pooch has missed out over the last few months, Royal Pooches is now back open too and you can now book in at Sonder Tattoos, with an additional artist now joining the team.
The last year has been hard for all small businesses and we have been sorry to have to say goodbye to a couple of our shops, but we look forward to introducing you to our new businesses that will be joining us here very soon. We also are looking to re-open our Minigolf and Play Area soon, once everything is set up and in place.
We would like to thank you for your ongoing cooperation with social distancing, using masks and hand gel and for your patience, as we know restricted numbers in the shops means you may have to wait a little while for your turn (and choosing the right fabric from such a fabulous wide selection in And Sew On Fabrics isn’t always easy!) However there are other shops to explore and the new outdoor seating with a drink from the tea room makes waiting a much more enjoyable experience.
So from us all “Welcome Back!”
